  1. Subject to Regularization Visa (STR) Visas:

    All documents for the STR Visa category must be submitted in 4 copies

    • Valid National Passport (minimum period of validity 6 months at the time of travel) or any other acceptable Travel Document.
    • Printed completed online Visa application form (in 4 copies) together with the  Visa Payment and Acknowledgement Slips (4 copies).
    • Photocopy of Approved Expatriate Quota (4 copies).
    • 4 passport size photographs Letter of Offer of Appointment (4 copies).
    • Acceptance of Offer of Appointment (4 Copies).
    • Original and photocopies of Professional Certificate(s)/Credentials and Curriculum Vitae (original to be sighted and returned).
    • 4 copies Application for STR Visa to be addressed to Visa Section, Embassy of Nigeria, Dublin from Host Company accepting full Immigration Responsibilities by Prospective Employer (4 Copies).

     

    • Fifty Euros (€50.00) Visa Administrative Fee in Postal Order obtained from An Post Ireland payable to the Embassy of Nigeria Dublin.

    NON-EU HOLDERS MUST SUBMIT EVIDENCE OF LEGAL STAY OR RESIDENCE IN THE IRELAND. OTHERWISE, THEY ARE ADVISED TO OBTAIN THEIR VISAS FROM COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN OR NATIONALITY WHERE NIGERIA MAINTAINS A MISSION. NO EXPRESS OR FAST TRACK FOR THIS KIND OF APPLICATION.

  2. Tourist and Visitors’ Visas / Visitor:

    • Valid National Passport (minimum period validity 6 months at the time of travel) or any other acceptable Travel Document.
    • A printed copy of a completed Online Visa Application Form duly signed (with one passport size photograph attached), and a copy of each of the Visa Payment and Acknowledgement Slips.
    • 2 Passport Size Photographs.
    • Letter of invitation from Nigeria, addressed to the Visa Section, Embassy of Nigeria, Dublin, accepting full immigration responsibility OR a confirmed Hotel Reservation.
    • Evidence of sufficient funds must be provided.
    • Photocopy of the data page of Host's Passport.
    • Confirmed return ticket to Nigeria.
    • Fifty Euros (€50.00) Visa Administrative Fee in Postal Order obtained from An Post Ireland payable to the Embassy of Nigeria Dublin.

    NOTE A:
    Applications not supported by all the required documents will not be accepted.

    NOTE B:

    • Applicants may be invited for an interview before the visa is issued.
    • Applicants going on the invitation of an expatriate worker should attach a photocopy of the Residence Permit of their Host.
    • Multiple entry visas are issued at the discretion of the Visa Officer. Persons traveling to Nigeria for the first time under any category are advised to apply for single-entry visas.
    • Applications not supported by all the required documents will not be accepted.

  3. Minors

    In addition to the visa requirements, application for visa by minors should be accompanied with the following:

    • Birth Certificate.
    • 1 Passport Size Photograph of Father and Mother. (If the mother has sole custody, 1 passport-size photo of hers is required).
    • Letter of consent from Father and Mother. (If the mother has sole custody, she must provide a copy of the court order granting her full custody or authority to waive the rights of the father).
    • Photocopies of the data page of the father's current passport and the mother's.

    NON-EU PASSPORT HOLDERS MUST SUBMIT EVIDENCE OF LEGAL STAY OR RESIDENCE IN IRELAND. OTHERWISE, THEY ARE ADVISED TO OBTAIN THEIR VISAS FROM COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN OR NATIONALITY WHERE NIGERIA MAINTAINS A MISSION.

    NOTE: For children whose parents are expatriates and working in Nigeria, a copy of the parent's residence permit should be attached to the application. Applications not supported by all the required documents will not be accepted.

  4. Business Visas:

    • Valid National Passport (minimum period of validity 6 months at the time of travel) or any other Acceptable Travel Document.
    • A printed copy of a completed Online Visa Application Form (with one recent passport size photograph attached), and a copy of each of the visa Payment and Acknowledgment slips.
    • 2 passport size photographs Letter of invitation from persons or organization (on the organization or Company letterhead) in Nigeria addressed to the Visa Section, Embassy of Nigeria, Dublin, accepting full immigration responsibilities/or evidence of sustenance in form of current Bank Statements.
    • Letter from the applicant's employer in Ireland (on the letterhead paper of the establishment) stating the current immigration and employment status of the applicant. The employer must also clearly state that he is aware of the trip to Nigeria.
    • Copy of certificate of incorporation of applicant's employer in Nigeria.

     

    • Fifty Euros (€50.00) Visa Administrative Fee in Postal Order obtained from An Post Ireland payable to the Embassy of Nigeria Dublin.

    NON-EU PASSPORT HOLDERS MUST SUBMIT EVIDENCE OF LEGAL STAY OR RESIDENCE IN IRELAND. OTHERWISE, THEY ARE ADVISED TO OBTAIN THEIR VISAS FROM COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN OR NATIONALITY WHERE NIGERIA MAINTAINS A MISSION.

    NOTE: Application not supported by all the requirements will not be accepted. All persons applying for a Business Visa are required to furnish a confirmed return travel ticket.

  5. Transit Visas:

    • Valid National passport (minimum period of validity 6 months at the time of travel) or any other acceptable travel.
    • A printed copy of the duly completed online visa application form (with 2 recent passport size photographs attached) and a copy of the payment and acknowledgment slip each.
    • Evidence of onward ticket to country of final destination.
    • Evidence of visa to the country of final destination
  6. Diplomatic & Official Visas:

    • Valid Diplomatic or Official passport (minimum period of validity 6 months at the time of travel) or any other acceptable Travel Documents.
    • A printed copy of the duly completed and signed online visa application form.
    • 2 Passport Size Photographs.

     

    • Note Verbale from the Irish or Icelandic Departments of Foreign Affairs.

     

    • Fifty Euros (€50.00) Visa Administrative Fee in Postal Order obtained from An Post Ireland payable to the Embassy of Nigeria Dublin.

     

  7. Temporary Work Permit (TWP):

    • Valid National Passport (minimum period of validity 6 months) or any other acceptable Travel Documents.
    • 2 Passport Size Photographs.
    • A printed copy of a completed Online Visa Application Form(with one recent passport size photograph attached), and a copy of the Payment Confirmed page.
    • Approved cablegram from the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Abuja, which must be received by the Embassy of Nigeria, Dublin (Visa Section).
    • Letter from Host Company in Nigeria addressed to the Visa Section accepting full immigration responsibilities.
    • A Confirmed Return Travel Ticket.

    NOTE: Photocopies of cablegram sent from Nigeria to this office will not be accepted as approval until the original is received.
